Man, 21, dies after crashing car into tree on Chicago's NW Side

CHICAGO - A 21-year-old man died after crashing his car into a tree in Chicago's Wildwood neighborhood Saturday morning. 

Police said the driver was headed northbound on Caldwell Avenue near Devon Avenue around 3:25 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. 

He was taken to Luthern General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The city's Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash.
