Man, 25, in critical condition after being shot in Washington Park

CHICAGO - A 25-year-old man was wounded when he was shot in a vehicle Saturday in Washington Park on the South Side.

He was in a gray minivan about 6:53 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Michigan Avenue when he was shot in the chest and abdomen, Chicago police said. The man is in critical condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
