Man, 36, shot on Chicago sidewalk

CHICAGO - A man was shot while walking on the sidewalk Sunday night in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The 36-year-old was on the sidewalk around 9 p.m. when someone in a black sedan started shooting and struck him in the shoulder in the 2200 block of South Oakley Avenue, police said.

Paramedics took the victim to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in fair condition.

There is no one in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
