ISP trooper, woman found dead inside car in Chicago
An off-duty Illinois State Trooper and a woman were found shot to death in a car in the East Side neighborhood Monday afternoon.
CHICAGO - An off-duty Illinois State Trooper and a woman were found shot to death in a car in the East Side neighborhood Monday afternoon.
At about 1:25 p.m., Trooper Antonio Alvarez, 30, and Amanda Alvarez, 31, were found inside of a non-department issued vehicle in the 11000 block of South Avenue East with injuries from gunfire, ISP said.
Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Trooper Alvarez was a three-year veteran of the Illinois State Police.
Chicago police are handling the death investigation.
