Man charged after armed robbery, vehicular hijacking on same morning: police
CHICAGO - A 19-year-old man is facing felony charges after an armed robbery and vehicular hijacking in Chicago on the same morning, authorities said.

Giotono Evans, of Romeoville, is charged with one felony count of vehicular hijacking with a weapon and one felony count of armed robbery, according to Chicago police.
He was arrested Thursday in the 1200 block of S. Harlem Avenue in Berwyn.
Authorities say Evans stole a vehicle at gunpoint from a 70-year-old man on Sept. 24 at 5 a.m. in the 2600 block of W. Pershing. He is also charged in connection with an armed robbery of a 23-year-old woman 30 minutes later in the 6100 block of S. California.
Evans is set to appear in court for a detention hearing on Dec. 28.
