Man critically wounded in Grand Crossing shooting
CHICAGO - A 31-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.
He was crossing the street about 4:10 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Maryland Avenue when someone fired shots, Chicago police said.
The man was struck on his side and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
