Man found shot in the chest in West Town

CHICAGO - Chicago police found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest in West Town Thursday morning. 

The victim, 40, was discovered in the 2700 block of West Grand Avenue at approximately 4:16 a.m. He told responding officers that he was shot somewhere else, but was unable to provide details. 

He was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in fair condition. 

Area Three detective are investigating. No arrests have been reported.
