Man in custody following hit-and-run crash on SW Side

CHICAGO - A man was arrested in connection to a hit-and-run crash in Chicago's Clearing neighborhood Sunday morning. 

Police say a 26-year-old man was crossing the street in the 5600 block of West 63rd Street at about 4:45 a.m. when he was hit by a black vehicle. 

The driver fled the scene and the victim was transported to an area hospital in grave condition. 

Police say 48-year-old man was arrested. Police continue to investigate.
