Man shot in front yard in West Pullman on Chicago's Far South Side

A 33-year-old man was shot Saturday in front of a home in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

About 5:30 p.m., he was standing in the front yard of a home in the 11800 block of South Prairie Avenue, when he heard shots and felt a pain, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the left calf, and brought to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
