Man shot in head on Chicago's Far South Side

CHICAGO - A man was shot in the head inside a residence on the Far South Side Monday.

At about 5:31 p.m., a 49-year-old man was inside a residence in the 13000 block of South Champlain when he was shot in the head by an unknown offender, Chicago police said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in fair condition.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
