Man shot in Humboldt Park, hospitalized in serious condition

CHICAGO - A 25-year-old man was shot Sunday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

About 8:50 p.m., he was on the sidewalk in the 2400 block of West Hirsh Street, when someone approached him and fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the abdomen and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
