Local leaders discuss Chicago gun violence prevention on South Side

Local leaders and activists came together Friday to talk about gun violence prevention and solutions for getting weapons off Chicago’s streets.

CHICAGO - A man was shot in the stomach in Chicago's Washington Heights neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

The shooting happened on South Sangamon near 100th just before 4 p.m.

The victim, 29, was on the street when he was shot. He was hospitalized in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
