CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) A 21-year-old man was shot in his arm Saturday afternoon while walking in the Loop, sending tourists and Chicagoans running.
The man was shot around 2 p.m. at Wabash and Monroe. He was hit in the arm, but the gunman had opened fire multiple times.
Shanese Bradley works at a nearby bakery. She told customers to duck as shots rang out.
"I was kind of terrified," Bradley said. "This is my first time witnessing this, especially in the daylight. We have people walking around. I saw people with their kids walking in their Halloween costumes. It's just sad."
The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition stabilized. The gunman was still on the loose as of Saturday night.
