Man shot on I-55 near Joliet

JOLIET, Ill. - A 37-year-old Minooka man was shot while driving Sunday on Interstate 55 near Joliet in the far southwest suburbs.

He was shot by someone in another vehicle about 2:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Black Road, according to a statement from Illinois State Police.

He was taken to a hospital with an injury that wasn’t life-threatening, state police said.
