Man wounded in drive-by shooting on South Side

A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday on the South Side.

He was riding in a vehicle about 3:11 p.m. in the 9500 block of South State Street when another vehicle pulled up alongside and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police said.

The 26-year-old was shot in the head, shoulder and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
