Man wounded in drive-by shooting on the West Side

A 24-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by Sunday in Austin on the West Side.

About 6:20 p.m., he was standing in the 200 block of South Lotus Avenue, when someone pulled up in a vehicle, got out and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the right arm, chest, and rushed to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
