Mayor Johnson to speak on teacher issues at Texas conference

HOUSTON - Mayor Brandon Johnson was scheduled to speak at a significant teachers' conference in Texas. 

The 2024 American Federation of Teachers Convention, taking place in Houston, will run through Thursday. 

During the convention, educators will discuss a range of topics that affect teachers daily, including healthcare, teacher contracts and more.

The event will also feature speakers from the United Auto Workers Union.
