CHICAGO - McCormick Place is making some changes after 1,000 birds died from crashing into the building last month.
The lakeside center will now be closing its drapes at night during the migration season.
Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, which owns the building, is also considering adding bird-safe film on the outside of the glass, installing barriers outside and putting decals on windows.
