CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - If you’re heading downtown this holiday season to see “Hamilton” or visit the Christmas tree in Millennium Park, Metra is offering free rides for children riding with adults, beginning Saturday until the end of the year.
Up to three children aged 11 and under can ride for free with each adult between Dec. 17 and Jan. 2, according to Metra.
In addition, Metra is extending its weekend pass to cover each of the three-day holiday weekends, Dec. 24-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 2, according to the transit agency. The pass is $8 and provides unlimited rides.
“We want to make it as easy and stress-free as possible for families to experience the magic of the holiday season,” Metra CEO Don Orseno said in a statement.
