Girl, 16, missing from Batavia found safe; 2 charged

Batavia police located a 16-year-old girl who was reported missing since Sunday night in the suburbs.

Taya Russell was found Wednesday at a residence in Sugar Grove. Two people were arrested in connection with her disappearance.

A 16-year-old boy from Sugar Grove was charged with harboring a runaway and obstructing a peace officer, police said.

Julie A. Deuchler, 60, was also charged with harboring a runaway and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
