Another arrest has been announced in a New Lenox carjacking and robbery, with a third suspect being held on a million-dollar bond.

Martavies L. Sanders, an 18-year-old Chicago resident, was allegedly involved in the carjacking along with two others on June 20th, where they targeted a 71-year-old Uber driver.

Two other individuals, a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, both from Chicago, were also being held in connection to the crime. The incident involved a stolen white Hyundai pulling up and forcibly removing the victim from his Toyota Venza, with the Uber driver being struck in the head with a pistol.

The offenders stole the victim's belongings before fleeing the scene in both vehicles. The stolen Toyota was abandoned nearby, while the offenders escaped in the Hyundai. The Uber driver was treated for a head injury at a local hospital.
