No bond for man charged with stabbing girl in Little Village

CHICAGO (STMW) - Bond has been denied for a man charged with stabbing a girl during a domestic argument early Friday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Victor Rico, 26, is accused of stabbing the victim, described only as a “female juvenile,” at 3:34 a.m. in the 2700 block of South Trumbull, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The girl was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition with multiple lacerations to her head, police said.

Rico, who lives in the same block, was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

He was ordered held without bond Saturday, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.
