Man found shot on sidewalk in North Lawndale: police

CHICAGO - A man was hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting in North Lawndale Saturday morning. 

Chicago police say the victim was found on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of South Independence Boulevard at 1:30 a.m. with multiple gunshot wounds. 

He was transported to Mt. Sinani Hospital and was listed in critical condition. His age was not released. 

No arrests have been reported as area detectives investigate the incident.
