Deerfield woman dead after being struck by vehicle
DEERFIELD, Ill. - A 47-year-old woman was killed Sunday morning after she was struck by a vehicle in north suburban Deerfield.
Authorities responded to the area of Robert York and Osterman avenues around 7:19 a.m. for a report of a crash with injuries, according to a statement from the Lake County medical examiner's office.
When officers arrived, they located a female pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
The victim, a resident of Deerfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of family members.

A preliminary autopsy report found the woman died from blunt force injuries from the crash, the medical examiner's office said.
Deerfield police and the Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County are continuing to investigate.
