CHICAGO - A body was found on the rocks of Promontory Point Saturday morning.
Chicago police say the man was discovered around 10:15 a.m. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The peninsula is located in the 5400 block of South Lake Shore Drive just east of Hyde Park.
On Monday, the Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man as 38-year-old Bryan Jackson, who went missing after jumping off a boat in Lake Michigan on Labor Day.
Chicago police have launched a death investigation, pending autopsy results.
