Person shot near 95th/Dan Ryan Red Line station

CHICAGO - A person was shot Thursday near the 95th/Dan Ryan Red Line stop on the South Side.
He was inside of a vehicle about noon in the 9700 block of South State Street when someone opened fire, striking him in the back, Chicago police said.
The vehicle he was in crashed into a parked vehicle after the shooting, police said.
Paramedics picked up the 19-year-old at 95th Street and State and he was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, according to police and fire officials.
A 15-year-old boy suffered injuries in the crash and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition, police said.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
