CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago Police are warning Morgan Park business owners of three recent burglaries in the Far South Side neighborhood, including one in which an ATM was dragged out of the building.
The burglaries happened in the 11000 block of South Halsted on Nov. 29, in the 10900 block of South Halsted on Dec. 1, and in the 11200 block of South Halsted on Dec. 2, according to a community alert from Area South detectives. All occurred between 2-6 a.m.
In one of the burglaries, a suspect broke a window, wrapped a chain around an ATM and pulled it out of the business with an SUV, police said. The burglars entered the other businesses by breaking glass or using pry bars.
Police said surveillance video show two males wearing hooded sweatshirts and driving an SUV.
