CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Embattled Chicago Police officer Robert Rialmo was involved in another fight early Thursday, less than a week after being found not guilty of battery for punching two people in a bar.
Officers were called about 3:40 a.m. for reports of a battery in the Union Ridge neighborhood on the Northwest Side, according to Chicago Police. Three males had been involved in an argument in the 7100 block of West Higgins that escalated into a physical fight. All three people involved called police.
Authorities determined that one of the people involved in the fight was off-duty officer Robert Rialmo and the department’s Bureau of Internal Affairs was investigating “to determine if any criminal charges are warranted,” police said. The Civilian Office of Police Accountability was also conducting an administrative investigation.
No charges had been filed as of Friday morning as investigators continued “gathering all relevant facts,” police said.
