Roosevelt University and UIC announce free tuition programs for low-income students

Two more universities are offering free tuition to low-income students.

Two more universities are offering free tuition to low-income students.

Roosevelt University's program will begin in the spring semester, while the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) will launch its initiative next fall.

The "Roosevelt Pledge" covers tuition costs not already covered by loans, grants, or work-study programs for students from households earning less than $50,000 annually.

UIC's "Aspire" program offers free tuition and fees to students from households earning $75,000 or less.
