CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - One southbound lane of the upper Michigan Avenue bridge will close Monday for urgent repairs, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.
The lane will be closed from July 11 through July 22 so that “urgently needed repairs” of the expansion joint and cover plate at the northwest corner of the bridge can be completed, according to CDOT.
The lane closure, which will run from just south of Wrigley Tower to the mid-span of the bridge, will remain in effect 24 hours a day until the work is completed.
