Richards recently graduated 8th grade, and was set to start high school at Benet Academy in the fall.
Meanwhile, a memorial outside Fonatano's Subs is growing. The shop will be closed until further notice.
Police confirm the person driving the Jeep was a 16-year-old employee of Fuller's car wash. Officials say they will be determining if the driver will face any charges — once the investigation is complete.
Additionally, green ribbons have been tied around trees throughout Hinsdale in the boy's memory.
