Shots were fired at Chicago police Thursday night in the Fuller Park neighborhood.

Officers were driving in an unmarked car when they heard possible gunshots and observed a gray Dodge Charger leaving the area about 8:40 p.m. in the 4200 block of South Princeton Avenue, Chicago police said.

When officers got behind the Charger, a passenger in one of the rear seats opened fire, police said.

Nobody was struck and officers did not return fire, police said.

There is nobody in custody as detectives continue to investigate the incident.
