CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are investigating after human skeletal remains were discovered in the backyard of a South Shore neighborhood home Wednesday afternoon.
A homeowner discovered the skeletal remains, which appear to those of an adult, in their backyard in the 7100 block of South Constance about 3:30 p.m., according to Chicago Police.
An examination Thursday confirmed the bones are human, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Thursday was inconclusive, pending further studies.
Area South detectives are conducting a death investigation.
