South Shore murder: Chicago man charged with killing woman

CHICAGO - A Chicago man has been arrested months after allegedly killing a 36-year-old woman on the city's South Side.

Police say 30-year-old Tyree Vance was identified as the offender who battered the female victim on April 19, 2023, in the 7000 block of S. Crandon. She later died from her injuries.

He was taken into custody on Monday in the 6600 block of S. Justine.

Vance has been charged with one felony count of first-degree murder. He's due in court on Wednesday.
