He earned a B.A. in History and Economics from Colgate University and completed a Post baccalaureate Premedical program at Columbia University in New York. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He completed his internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he earned the honor of being named both Chief Medical Resident and Chief Cardiology Fellow.
He received numerous teaching awards and a competitive research grant while at University of Illinois. Dr. Levisay went on to complete a two year fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Scripps Clinic and Research Institute in La Jolla, California.
Dr. Levisay specializes in interventional cardiology including coronary interventions and minimally invasive valve replacement. He actively participates in numerous clinical research trials. Currently, Dr. Levisay is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at NorthShore University HealthSystem.
