CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The storm out east is making a mess for travelers in Chicago.
Dozens of passengers were left stranded Friday at Chicago’s Greyhound bus terminal.
The massive snowstorm on the east coast and the bitter cold temperatures in Chicago have forced Greyhound to cancel service on some of its routes out east.
Many passengers were forced to sleep in the terminal overnight.
Greyhound released a statement to FOX 32 saying they're working to secure resources from other locations to get passengers to their destinations.
"We are working to accommodate the large increase in ridership as many travelers are returning from the holiday season," Greyhound spokeswoman Lanesha Gipson said in a statement. "However, we currently have limited resources as many of our buses from our Northeast schedules are unavailable due to the winter storm."
"We are working diligently to secure resources from other locations and expect to start getting customers back on the road this morning. We are doing our best to accommodate our customers with the resources we have available," the statement said.
There's no word yet on when buses will arrive.
