Abused pup finds forever home just in time for Christmas

We’re happy to report that Athena is now in her new home, adjusting well and ready to celebrate her first Christmas.

Last week, FOX 32 Chicago shared the story of a rescued puppy looking for a new family.

Tonight, we have some great news: Athena has found a new home just in time for Christmas.

Athena, a 3-month-old American Bully, was part of a litter of six puppies found with severe cuts and wounds in early September.

After weeks of care in a foster home, all of Athena's siblings were adopted, but she was still looking for a home when we met her last week.

Abused pup looks for forever home after siblings find families

If any pup deserves a home for the holidays, it's Athena.

After seeing our story, a family in Itasca reached out to Pets and Vets USA Rescue and offered to adopt Athena.

We’re happy to report she is now in her new home, adjusting well, and ready to celebrate her first Christmas.
