Suburban Taco Bell robbery: 1 suspect in custody, another on the run

One person is in custody and a second suspect is being sought following a robbery Saturday afternoon at a Taco Bell in Elk Grove Village.

What we know:

The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Busse Road.

While details of the robbery have not been released, Elk Grove Village police said one person is being questioned by investigators. No injuries were reported.

Police are searching for a second suspect, described as a Black male in his 20s, wearing a dark Chicago Bears knit hat, light gray shirt, dark gray jacket, and blue pants with white stripes. 

Authorities said he fled the restaurant and his current location is unknown.

What's next:

The Taco Bell remains open, but investigators are still at the scene.

All nearby roads are open, and Elk Grove Village police, assisted by their K-9 unit, have searched the area and confirmed the situation is safe.
