THORNTON TOWNSHIP, Ill. - More issues have emerged for Thornton Township Supervisor and Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard.
A special meeting held Friday addressed the township's decision to lock its doors, sending staff home to work remotely.
Henyard took to Facebook to call out two trustees, Chris Gonzales and Carmen Carlisle, accusing them of repeated absences from board meetings.
She claimed these absences are hindering operations and preventing the township from securing insurance coverage.
Meanwhile, government business in Thornton Township remains at a standstill, with the shutdown expected to continue until the insurance issues are resolved.
