Two shot on Dan Ryan
Two people were shot and wounded on the Dan Ryan on Saturday.
CHICAGO - Two men were wounded in a shooting Saturday on Interstate 94, leading southbound lanes near Englewood to be shut down for more than three hours while authorities investigated.
Illinois State police responded about 4:48 p.m. to the shooting near 59th Street, and found the two men inside a vehcle with gunshot wounds, Illinois State police said. They were taken to the hospital for serious injuries, but are expected to survive.
A preliminary investigation found that the two men were driving south on Interstate 94 when a passing vehicle fired shots at them near 59th Street, state police said.
Local lanes were closed at 59th Street as authorities investigated, state police said. They were reopened about 8:10 p.m.
