DES PLAINES, Ill. - Des Plaines police have identified the victim in a fatal stabbing earlier this month.
The incident occurred on Dec. 5 in the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue. Officers responded around 9:27 p.m. to a report of a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
At the scene, police found 50-year-old Roberta S. Langan, of Des Plaines, in the hallway of an apartment building and officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived.
Langan was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Police said a subject of interest has been identified in the case. The investigation is ongoing.
