WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The online lottery for free tickets to this year's White House Easter Egg Roll opens at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The annual event will take place on April 22nd, the day after Easter. Your last day to enter the public lottery is Thursday, March 7, at 10 a.m. Winners will be notified by Thursday, March 14th.

The White House Easter Egg Roll officially dates back to 1878 during the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes. Guests will receive a wooden Easter egg as a keepsake.
Last year's 140th White House Easter Egg Roll was hosted by First Lady Melania Trump on April 2.
