CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A woman was found dead Wednesday evening with a cut throat in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.
Kecia L. Castro, 41, was discovered unresponsive about 5:30 p.m. in the 200 block of West 119th Street, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. She had a laceration to the neck and was pronounced dead at at 6:08 p.m.
Police said the the incident was possibly domestic-related.
Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation, police said. No one was in custody Thursday morning.
Castro lived in the Roseland neighborhood, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.
Another woman was killed in the same manner Wednesday in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side. Police did not say if the deaths were related.
