Brittany Toolis
Brittany Toolis is a South Side Chicago native who’s thrilled to be coming home to reconnect with the neighborhoods, communities, and people that make Chicago unlike anywhere else.
Prior to joining FOX32, Brittany spent the last decade covering news and sports in markets including Detroit, Seattle, Oklahoma City - where she earned a regional Emmy for severe weather coverage, and Rockford, IL. She’s a passionate hockey fan – her broadcasting career actually began as a rink side reporter for the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Brittany is from the Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side, attended St. Gabriel Elementary School, high school at St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated from Eastern Illinois University. She also worked as a lifeguard for the Chicago Park District throughout high school and college.
When she’s not working, you can catch Brittany cheering on the Blackhawks, Sox and Bears. She also enjoys exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods and thrifting, doing yoga, and trying to wrangle her and her fiance's puppy, Winnie Beninnie.
