Former Bear Brian Urlacher named to Pro Football Hall of Fame

MINNEAPOLIS (Fox 32 News) - Former Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Urlacher spent his 13 year career playing linebacker for the Chicago Bears.

Inductions will be in August at the Canton, Ohio, shrine.

Urlacher started 180 of 182 games played with the Bears, recording 1,779 tackles and 41.5 sacks. He  helped the Bears win four division titles and reach the Super Bowl in 2006. 

In 2005, Urlacher was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

This year's other inductees are Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile, Brian Dawkins, Jerry Kramer, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens.
