Northern Illinois overpowers Judson 91-48

DEKALB, Ill. (AP) — Levi Bradley scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds — each a career best — for his first double-double helping Northern Illinois route Judson University of the NAIA 91-48 on Saturday.

Bradley, a 6-foot-7 freshman, made 6 of 10 field goals and went 7-for-8 at the foul line. He helped Northern Illinois to a 56-35 edge in rebounding as well as a 59-7 scoring advantage in the paint.

Aaric Armstead and freshman Laytwan Porter scored 12 points each for the Huskies, while Marin Maric added 11.

Judson jumped out to a 6-2 lead on consecutive 3-pointers from Drew Makiewicz — he scored 15 on 5-for-9 3-point shooting, but the Huskies caught up in a hurry as freshman Jaylen Key scored six points in less than a minute for an 8-7 lead. Northern Illinois pulled away from there, leading 53-30 at halftime and were up by 44-points, 89-45, with 1:33 remaining.
