EAST LANSING, Mich. - Lindsey Pulliam and Veronica Burton scored 22 points apiece, and No. 22 Northwestern beat Michigan State 76-48 on Thursday night for its fifth straight victory.
Northwestern (17-2, 7-1 Big Ten), ranked in the AP Top 25 poll for the first time since 2016, remained undefeated at home this season at 8-0. The Wildcats forced 24 turnovers, converting those into 35 points, and scored 20 more points than Michigan State in the paint.
Abbie Wolf had 14 points and nine rebounds for Northwestern. Abi Scheid, who was awarded the Big Ten player of the week on Monday, had five points, six rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes.
Pulliam and Burton each had 11 points in the first half to help Northwestern take a 33-23 lead at the break.
Moira Joiner scored 17 points, with five 3-pointers, for Michigan State (11-8, 4-4), which shot just 35%.
