Revolution and Fire play to 2-2 draw

New England's Kelyn Rowe scored the tying goal moments after the Chicago Fire took a late 2-1 lead, and the Revolution escaped Chicago with a 2-2 draw Saturday night.

Razvan Cocis put away the rebound off a shot by Matt Watson to give the Fire (5-11-4) their first lead in the 75th minute but, moments later, Chris Tierney found Rowe streaking though the 6-yard box for the tying goal.

The Revolution (7-9-7) opened the scoring when Scott Caldwell's shot from just outside the left side of the box ricocheted off of Chicago goalkeeper Sean Johnson and Lee Nguyen found the back of the net. It was Nguyen's second consecutive game with a goal.

David Accam drew a foul on Jose Goncalves just inside the box and Chicago's Shaun Maloney buried the penalty kick to even the match in the 44th minute.
