How a new Ryan Field could transform Evanston's finances

EVANSTON, Ill. - Here's a new look at what a new Northwestern football stadium could mean for Evanston.

An economic study shows right now that Ryan Field brings in just over $47 million.

However, with three concerts a year, it increases to close to $66 million.

With six concerts, the number is projected at nearly $78 million.

The original plan was 10 concerts, however, the Northwestern University president dropped it to six.
