Mayor Johnson heads to Washington to talk migrant assistance

In Chicago, 20,000 migrants have arrived since last year. Five mayors from major U.S. cities including Brandon Johnson are in Washington D.C. Thursday in hopes of meeting with President Biden to discuss migrant funding. The mayors also want to push for work permits.

Mayor Johnson to present 2024 budget recommendations

As the city faces a budget gap of more than $500 million, Mayor Brandon Johnson will present his 2024 recommendations in front of the City Council Wednesday. The budget forecast shows $200 million in funding going toward the city's migrant situation.
